My telegram No.9 and Trade Commissioner telegram

Gellio informs me that he learns from Colonial

Secretary that Japanese Consul at Hongkong has written

asking for interview so that he may introduce Japanese

merchants interested in waterworks.

2. It is expected that Mayor will put forward to

Town Council on February 13th at the next meeting

petition presented by Hada.

3. If we have any counter scheme which may be

presented I could of course visit Macao.
